Family Life Consent Form

Hello Families!
I hope by now you have gotten the chance to review the Tuesday Folder. In your child's folder, you should have found a packet for our Family Life Program. Included in this packet is a Parent Connection booklet, information slip, and consent form. This program serves as the Human Reproduction Program at St. Ann's School. It is important to note that the curriculum is utilized in each grade level at St. Ann's and is age appropriate for your child. Our grade level focuses on Catholic morals, family values, good decision making. The program will be studied during Religion each day and typically lasts about three weeks. Please review this information and return the consent form, indicating whether your child may participate, by Friday. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. There are also copies of the student book in the office to review if you are interested. Thank you so much for your help and support.

Science Fun with Mrs. Bertelson!

3A had a great time with Mrs. Bertelson today in the Elementary Science Lab learning about Volcanoes! Each group learned about the different types of volcanoes and how they erupt. Then they got to mimic a volcanic eruption in an experiment! Some pictures and video are posted below. Enjoy! Thanks Mrs. Bertelson, and see you soon for our Landforms Unit!

Homework and Correction Reminders!

Hey parents!
Just a reminder, your child should have homework each day, with the exception of Friday. Please check the planner to see what we did in class that day and what might be for homework. Even if your child has finished their homework (especially if they attend afterschool, as they are expected to work on their homework during this time) please check each assignment to check for accuracy and completion. As our work continues to become new, thus perhaps a little more difficult, it will benefit your child to have it checked for any errors. Also, remember that any non-open book test may be submitted for corrections. If your child receives a quiz or test in their Tuesday Folder that they would like to correct, they may turn the paper in with the corrected answers on a separate sheet of paper by the Friday of that week. I will average the two grades together and replace the new grade in the grade book. Homework assignments may only be corrected it says "may correct" on their paper. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks for all your help and support this year, and I'm looking forward to an exciting and strong final nine weeks of our 3rd grade year.

Confession

Hey parents!
Our class is taking a trip to the Church on Wednesday at 9 a.m. for confession. The students of St. Ann's are fortunate enough to get the opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation each Advent and Lent Season. We have reviewed how to make a good confession in class as well as the Act of Contrition. A good exercise to prepare for the Sacrament is for your child to examine their conscience. It is a wonderful opportunity to talk with your child about the importance and beauty of this Sacrament. Thank you for your support and encouragement.
