What an amazing first week we've had! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this class! I couldn't have been blessed with a more sweet, smart, and creative bunch of students! I just wanted to say thank you to all the parents that turned in their classroom and homework contracts, and surveys. Your comments and feedback truly help with meeting the needs of your child.
Your children have adapted so well to the classroom procedures and already seem comfortable in class! Now our routine begins! A few things to keep in mind as we delve into the curriculum:
- Check and sign the planner nightly. This allows you to see what your child did in school that day, and their homework assignments will be highlighted.
- Most Thursdays, your child will have a spelling test. If they do not make a 100, I will have them retake the test on Friday. The higher of the two grades will go in the grade book.
- We have textbooks in math that are not required to go home, but if you notice that your child is needing extra help please feel free to have your students take them home and you can practice, or you can get a head start on upcoming lessons.
